About Space Sports and Arts Centre of Excellence

Sports and Performing Arts Centre of Excellence (S.P.A.C.E) was created in 2008 by Jennifer Tunstall, principal of Broadway Showstoppers dance school.

The aim of setting up S.P.A.C.E was to offer all children around Merseyside the chance to develop their skills, whether it is in football, dance, basketball, drama, etc., with the help of professional coaches.

We started working with local primary schools during and after school hours around Kensington, Kirkby and Huyton but that soon developed into community projects and adult classes.

With S.P.A.C.E becoming more and more involved with bigger projects; helping children stay off the streets and running adult classes, we had to take a step back and re-think our overall aim.

Which is why in April 2009 we opened our band new performing arts studio in Norris Green, Liverpool to offer children and an increasing number of adults the chance to develop their skills meet new people and lead a healthier lifestyle.

As anybody who has ever been to any of our classes/courses knows your never to young or old to have fun, get fit and learn something new.
